Afternote:
There are several reasons why anyone would want to sell their furniture.

    * They are leaving Singapore and it wouldn’t be feasible to take those bulky items along with them.
    * They have moved to a new home and the present furniture won’t fit or won’t suit the new place.
    * They’re upgrading their furniture and do not see the need to retain their old pieces.

However, the notion of selling and buying of 2 nd hand goods is not well established in Singaporeans. Reason why Singaporeans  are not keen in buying second hand furniture.  That is the reason we have to export.  If your items are too little, sorry not interested.  We are interested in bulk seller.  20 PCs, 20 Workstations etc items and above.

Here is some advice for sellers:

    * Don’t expect high prices! (Used goods dealers usually take back between 1% to 10% of your initial purchase price). As furniture is considered wear-and tear items, they cannot be regarded as items of investment! When you buy the furniture you didn’t ask yourself “I wonder how much I can sell this item in a few years time”
    * Whatever you’re selling, ask yourself would you want that in your house? If you wouldn’t, why would anybody else want them?
    * Restoration of furniture is not cheap! – reupholstery usually cost somewhere between 300 to 1500 dollars! Therefore sellers have to be fair to used goods dealers. They are there to earn a living as well.
    * In Singapore, warranties for electrical goods seldom extend beyond the original owner. Buyers will often be worried that the washing machine etc. will breakdown leaving expensive repairs. This is reflected in the low prices offered for secondhand electrical goods.
    * Transportation is quite expensive, so even if you offer to give it away you may get no takers due to the cost and hassle of moving the stuff.

Disposal of bulky items
